Please try again later. The book arrived looking as if it had never been touched. Perfect condition and fast shipping. Easy read but meaty. Very short dictionary type book from A to Z – B for Bible, etc. So many quirky wise definitions. Wish I’d been able to think them up. Will order another Buechner soon. This book is on my top list! Each of Buechner’s “definitions” are profound gems of everyday theology, which is the only theology that matters.

Until you confess them, however they are the abyss between you. When you confess them, they become the bridge.
