Iseki Tx Hydraulic woes So I’m new to this forum and like most people I signed oseki because I’m having some troubles caused by my ongoing stupidity no doubt.
My TX 4×4 has a front end loader and has been a great tractor. I’ve run it for over a year now clearing blackberries, tilling, and hauling things around in the bucket. Two days ago I decided to change the oil in the gearbox because I hadn’t done it since I owned tx3100. I figured I was doing right by flipping the seat up and reading the label.
Unfortunately it was in Japanese and all I could see was the number “80”. Well, I thought that meant 80w gear oil. Isekl I put gear oil in it and the next day try to use the hydraulics but it goes all stuttery and soft-like. I did a quick search and found out that the TX shares fluid. So I went down to True Value and got a 5 gal.
It worked all day today and after running it hard I tried the bucket I was field mowing so I didn’t touch the bucket and holy moley, it’s not even working. I bled the lines both ways and it got worse! Did I toast my pump by using gear oil initially? Would higher quality oil fix this thing? I looked at the part number stamped on the rim of the pump and it’s GPA. If I did trash my pump I’d like to find one to fit on it or if Ideki didn’t, it would iskei nice to have a spare. Any advice or tx1030 criticism would be appreciated.
I read a bit about Accel oil being total crap but I’m having a hard time believing they could legally sell it if it behaves like this in an old tractor. I’m going to sit down this evening and study the forum for any clues while this post goes up. Iseki Tx Hydraulic woes I guess I’ll reply to my ideki thread.
After searching quite a bit I found the larger tx’s had screens on the suction line. I went out and pulled the banjo bolt and it had a nice long screen attached, and it was totally clogged! I soaked it in gasoline, hosed it with compressed air a lot, and now things are back to perfect. I drained the oil and sock-screened it before returning it to the case. Looks like when I changed the oil it washed enough garbage down that it clogged the filter.
I’d still like to find spares for this little guy. The tie rod ends are shot and the tires are in rough shape.

I have a TXF, and I have changed my fluids several times. The filter that you found is the only one in the system. Last year, I needed a wood splitter, and I was unsure about cutting into the hydraulic lines, because I have heard nightmares about the hydraulic pumps have very little give when it comes to sediment in ttx1300 lines.
I decided ieski keep the system sealed, and I bought a splitter with a PTO driven hydraulic pump, and it works incredible. It has tons of power, and speed. That is an option if you wanted to speed up your loader, and seal the keep the system clean. Under your radiator, there is a second PTO, and I have seen the pumps connected at that point. Are you in Oregon? We lived isrki Idaho, and Washington State for 10 years, before moving back here. Do you have any photos of your tractor?
The spare hydraulic pumps are expensive, but there are a few on eBay right now.
Iseki Tx Hydraulic woes
This is the cheapest that I could find: I bought my tractor a few years ago, and it also had the original 30 year old tires on it. I put R1 AG tires on it, because we use it around the farm, and in the woods, and I really needed the extra traction. If you shop around a bit, you can find them fairly inexpensive.
I had mine loaded to add extra ballast. I live in New Hampshire, and we have very hilly terrain here since we are at the base of a pretty steep mountain. The ROPS were a must, but we have a grant here that pays for them.
This is my tractor with the new tires: So there’s another PTO? It’s late so I don’t want to go out and look. Our TX runs a 4ft brush hog, a tiller the original Iseki oneand we have a hole digger. I need new tires but priorities are elsewhere at the moment.
Tomorrow I’m going to install a Zena a welder so we can do some fencing. Someday I’ll restore it. I’m new to tx3100 and I’m glad I’m around to learn something new about my TX. Here’s my wife acting silly on ours. At least your wife will drive it, mine won’t. I think that it intimidates her a bit, yet she will drive our 4 wheeler around the property all day long. Did your tractor come with the iseko, or did you add it later? It looks like the ones that I was lseki at in Washington.
I really need a loader, but they are big money. We bought our tractor for the same reason. I have a Post Hole Digger, a 3 point wood splitter, a rear dirts scoop, a single plow, a carry all, a lift all, a trailer for ours.
I use it almost every day in the summer, and every week in the winter on our small farm.

The front PTO might be a bit difficult to get to with the loader on, but it is behind a small panel under your radiator. It is run by the fan, but can easily power a PTO pump.
You have the original rice paddy tires. They are pretty impressive! This is my first diesel, yx1300 now, I wish everything I owned was diesel.
Thanks for the photo! Below is mine with the post hole digger, and the location of the panel. I know a ton of places to get parts if you need any, and I know where they sell the TX decals if you decide to restore it someday. Most of the parts are very inexpensive. The PTO pump is one of the most expensive parts unfortunately. They’ve got quite a bit of old tractor imports sitting in the weeds. The loader was made for a TX and they installed it.
That panel is still accessible with the loader on, I might pop it off tomorrow and see if I can make a removable Zena welder bracket for it. Immediate needs on it include tie rod ends ball joints and tires.
I really need to find tie rod ends however. I was thinking about cutting them off and welding on some VW type ends. See the second post on this page for further information: One nice thing about being average is you’re not alone.

So I put a GM alternator on it instead. Would like to find tie rod ends and tires for it. Iseki Tx Hydraulic woes. I have tx300 TX and it was originally sold in Woodburn, Oregon. I have a front pump on my Iseki that runs the loader. It is a completely separate hydraulic system from the tractor 3 point system.
I bought new front tires from Les Schwab a couple years ago.
